Helsingin Paperipaja ry on Helsingin Roihupellossa toimiva yhdistys ja työhuoneyhteisö. Yhdistyksen tarkoituksena on kehittää paperinvalmistuksen ja paperipohjaisen taiteen ilmaisumuotoja ja materiaaleja, sekä edistää yhdistyksen jäsenten ammatillista erityisosaamista ja työskentelyoloja.
Kuka voi hakea?
Jäseneksi voivat hakea ammattimaisesti taiteen kentällä toimivat henkilöt, jotka ovat kiinnostuneet paperinvalmistuksesta ja paperipohjaisen taiteen kehittämisestä.
Jäsenedut:
- Ympärivuotinen Paperipajan käyttöoikeus
- Oikeus järjestää omia paperinvalmistuskursseja Pajan tiloissa
- Oikeus tehdä palkallisia perehdytyksiä ja osallistua Helsingin Paperipajan työllistäviin projekteihin
- Oikeus ostaa materiaaleja sisäänostohintaan
- Oikeus käyttää kaikkia yhdistyksen viiroja
- Oikeus hakea mukaan yhdistyksen näyttelyprojekteihin
- Oikeus asettua ehdolle hallitukseen
- Äänioikeus yhdistyksen syys- ja kevätkokouksessa
Yhdistyksen jäsenenä sitoudut:
- Noudattamaan yhdistyksen sääntöjä
- Maksamaan vuosittaisen jäsenmaksun
- Vuonna 2022 jäsenmaksu on 60 €
- Maksamaan käyttöoikeusmaksun
- Käyttöoikeusmaksu maksetaan kuukausittain ja sen suuruus riippuu jäsenten määrästä, sekä mahdollisista avustuksista. Ilman avustuksia kuukausittainen käyttöoikeusmaksu on 744 € jaettuna jäsenmäärällä.
- Vuonna 2022 käyttöoikeusmaksu on 0 €
Hakeminen:
Jäsenhakemuksessa tulee ilmoittaa hakijan henkilötiedot ja yhteystiedot. Liitä mukaan motivaatiokirje, josta käy ilmi miksi haet jäsenyyttä, mikä on suhteesi paperiin ja se, mitä annettavaa juuri sinulla olisi yhdistyksen jäsenenä.
Liitä mukaan myös ajantasainen cv ja portfolio (max. 10 kuvaa teostietoineen, mahdolliset linkit video-/ääniteoksiin).
Lähetä tiedot yhtenä pdf-tiedostona (koko max 4MB) osoitteeseen helsinginpaperipaja@gmail.com otsikolla “Jäsenhaku”.
Jäsenvalinnat:
Yhdistyksen jäsenhaku on jatkuva ja hakemukset käsitellään hallituksen kokouksessa kuukauden sisällä hakemuksen saapumisesta.

Helsingin Paperipaja ry is a society which runs a papermaking workshop and artist studio community in Roihupelto, Helsinki, Finland. The purpose of the society is to develop papermaking and its means for artistic expression – also by mapping new, local materials. Helsingin Paperipaja ry aims to help the members develop their skills and knowledge and to improve their working conditions as professional artists.
Who can apply:
Professional artists and people working in the art field with an interest in papermaking and developing paper-based art are welcome to apply.
Membership benefits:
- Right to reserve the workshop year round
- Right to organize own papermaking courses in the workshop
- Right to paid work including facility-introductions and to participate in employment projects
- Right to buy materials at purchase price
- Right to use all the paper moulds and deckles
- Right to apply to association’s exhibition projects
- Right to run for the board
- Right to vote in the meetings
As a member, you commit to:
- Follow the rules of the association
- Pay the yearly membership fee
- For 2022 the membership fee is 60 €
- Pay the monthly access rights fee
- The amount of the access rights fee will vary depending on the grants received and the amount of members. Without a grant the monthly access fee is 744 € divided by the number of the members.
- For 2022 the access fee is 0 €
How to apply:
The application should contain the following: applicant’s full name and address, a motivation letter, an up-to-date CV and portfolio (max 10 images, links to video/audio works)
In the motivation letter tell us about your relationship to paper or papermaking, why are you applying and what you could contribute to the association.
Send all the information in one pdf-file (max 4 MB) to helsinginpaperipaja@gmail.com with the message heading “Membership application”.
Membership selection:
Helsingin Paperipaja ry’s board will go through the applications on regular basis and will make the decisions within a month of receiving the application.
